The comparison of spectrums. There are differences between daylight lamps.

The color of the light has often nothing to do with the spectrum of the light. Here is a Viva-Lite full spectrum daylight lamp and a standard daylight lamp. The spectrums are photographed with Project Star Spectrometer

Viva-Lite lamp here is a energy-saving lamp. The standard lamp is also a energy-saving lamp, but a 3-band lamp that has 3 peaks. A normal, warm-toned, no-daylight energy-saving lamp will also provide a similar spectrum. The normal fluorescent lamps (T5 and T8) will give the same difference.

The spectrum of full spectrum lamp (Viva-Lite) is continuous, all wavelengths of visible light are present.

The spectrum of a ordinary daylight lamp (3-band) is discontinuous. Areas, where Viva-Lite has colours, are just dark.

The difference of lamps is here.

That yellow (or white, but without full spectrum) light is harmful, even to human health, if you stay there for long periods of time. The hormone system of children does not develop to normal in this light. We need all wavelengths (colors) of the light for our well-being.
